This is NOT information on what a wiki is please see Wikimedia for that information.
This article is here to help people understand how to make and edit articles.
I find the best way to learn how to edit the wiki is to just start your own article. So lets do that. One of the best ways to do this is by using the search feature on the left side of the page. Search for what you want to base your articale off. So I want to make a articale on Wardriving I would just search for 'wardriving' (without the quotes). You will see something like:
There is no page titled "Wardriving". You can create this page.
Then click on the link to make it and boom you are at the editing page to make your very own article.
The best way to learn to write good articles, is to follow the example of another well-written one. Here are some general suggestions and preferences to keep in mind while writing.
Basic Syantax (for tables, bold text, images, etc)
For the syntax it is preferred you use Wiki's tags, a short description of which can be found at Wikipedia's Quick guide. You can also combine them with HTML tags, however, this is only preferred when copying a large article or page written in HTML to the Wiki.
Proper grammar, spelling and punctuation
Attempt to the best of your ability to use proper grammar, spelling and punctuation. We want articles to be as readable as possible. If you are unsure of how to spell something, google it, as Google will usually correct misspelled words.
Also proofread your articles before submitting them. Read them aloud, and make sure they 'sound right'.
Use common courtesy when writing articles.
Noting your references is very important. If you borrow a paragraph or two from another source, please link or describe it in a section titled 'References'.
Use the 'Show Preview' button at the bottom of the page to check for any errors as you write.
Do not use foul language in your articles.
