IRC Hang Out.. Say Hi
Posted 08 May 2007 - 03:03 PM
If you do visit don't just leave if no one is talking when you get there. Hang out for awhile, or just start talking. Chances are someone is there and will respond. If all else fails strike up a conversation with Coba1t, he can be fun to talk to too.
The more of you that start to hang out in IRC the busier it will become, this means more people available to answer questions when you have them. It also means a place to discuss topics on the forums. For those of you into programming it is also a good place to get your questions answered and discuss ideas as several knowledable programmers hang out there.
Give IRC a try. The information on connecting can be found here

Yea, Coba1t can be annoying sometimes, but he's really neat most of the time.

Exactly snarfer, it is quiet a lot. That is why we need more people to come and hang out in the channel and for them to stay for more than 5 min and leave. The channel is as active as you make it.
And while Coba1t can be annoying. If you don't say his name he generally doesn't respond.

"You know, when I used to get high, I'd watch nature programs on the Beeb. Polar bears are meant to be quite clever. Very clever. They're like the Einsteins of the bear community."

Anyways, i think there should be a time frame when people should try and go onto it. Like 6 to 8 GMT, or something (thats like 10 to midnight in America, i think).
Otherwise, nothing really happens. Unless you're doing it behind me back :)
