For those of you who have not yet visited the channel I highly suggest you do so. While it is not always the busiest place it provides many opportunities the forums do not. Active discussions, the ability to get questions answered quickly, and a place to discuss things that may not always be post worthy.

If you do visit don't just leave if no one is talking when you get there. Hang out for awhile, or just start talking. Chances are someone is there and will respond. If all else fails strike up a conversation with Coba1t, he can be fun to talk to too.

The more of you that start to hang out in IRC the busier it will become, this means more people available to answer questions when you have them. It also means a place to discuss topics on the forums. For those of you into programming it is also a good place to get your questions answered and discuss ideas as several knowledable programmers hang out there.

Give IRC a try. The information on connecting can be found here

IRC is silent most of the time, and coba1t is really annoying.

The IRC was great when I was on it(for about a week...I'm not really an IRC guy), and Coba1t is mine, so please don't make any sexual advances towards him. :)

Yea, Coba1t can be annoying sometimes, but he's really neat most of the time.

Exactly snarfer, it is quiet a lot. That is why we need more people to come and hang out in the channel and for them to stay for more than 5 min and leave. The channel is as active as you make it.

And while Coba1t can be annoying. If you don't say his name he generally doesn't respond.

And don't say "hello" or any derivative of that word. ;p

Sometimes he'll try to pick a fight with you for nothing....although...I remember one time he offered sexual favors upon me...

:o Kansas?

Anyways, i think there should be a time frame when people should try and go onto it. Like 6 to 8 GMT, or something (thats like 10 to midnight in America, i think).

Otherwise, nothing really happens. Unless you're doing it behind me back :)

And there I was thinking that they were all -5 GMT. So, they don't have just one giant timezone? I thought they did..
